چکیده
Soil nutrient balance is affected by management in crops. A poor technique results an imbalance the soil status which could have a long-term negative impact on crop production. The current study was carried out to assess effect of different rates nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) maize-wheat cropping system Cambisols Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal during 2019/20 2020/21. experiment included three-factor randomized complete block design with three doses each N, P, K replicated times. There remarkable change pH, organic carbon (SOC), total contents over period time application NPK. pH changed from 5.98 5.53, SOC increased 11.7 16.8 g·kg?1, N decreased 1264 1177 mg·kg?1, available P2O5 declined 214 63.6 K2O 71.7 24.8 mg·kg?1 varying NPK after four seasons. Furthermore, partial, apparent, net were predominantly all fertilizer treatments, but magnitude lower under higher positive partial noticed levels. depletion native P pools even at attributed removal as compared inputs. Therefore, continuous balanced fertilizers crucial maintaining fertility productivity

Modelling The Long-Term Productivity And Soil Fertility Of Maize/Millet Cropping Systems In The Mid-Hills Of Nepal
In Nepal, maize is currently the second most important staple food crop after rice, having doubled in area over the past 30 years to around 800,000 ha. Due to population increases and increased demand for livestock fodder, demand for maize in Nepal is estimated to grow by 6-8% per annum over the next 20 years, representing a nearly four-fold increase over this period. Although the use of artifi...
متن کاملMinimization of Soil and Nutrient Losses in Maize-based Cropping Systems in the Mid-hills of Central Nepal
Soil nutrient depletion is a major concern in terms of resource utilization and optimization of production in the middle hills of Nepal. Soil and nutrient losses from agricultural land is responsible for pollution of surface waters and this reduces the productive capacity of land. A field experiment was initiated in May 2001 on acidic sandy loam soil in Kavre district; Nepal to investigate the ...
متن کاملZonal Soil Type Determines Soil Microbial Responses to Maize Cropping and Fertilization
Soil types heavily influence ecological dynamics. It remains controversial to what extent soil types shape microbial responses to land management changes, largely due to lack of in-depth comparison across various soil types. Here, we collected samples from three major zonal soil types spanning from cold temperate to subtropical climate zones. We examined bacterial and fungal community structure...
متن کاملCropping systems, tillage and fertilization strategies for durum wheat performance and soil properties
Many sustainable agronomical practices can be adopted to contain environmental risks of crop production and, at the same time, sustain yield and quality. In this framework, the aim of this research was to study the effects of continuous cropping (CC) and crop rotation, tillage and fertilization strategies on durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) production. The responses of soil properties we...

ABSTRACT- Declining land productivity associated with decreasing soil organic carbon and nutrients is a significant issue in monoculture production. The field experiment with different rates of fertilizer systems (60 kg ha-1 N + 100 kg ha-1 P, 300 kg ha-1 Bio-organic (organic fertilizer), 3 kg ha-1 Bioumik (biofertilizer), 30 kg ha-1 N + 50 kg ha-1 P + 150 kg ha-1 Bio-organic fertilizer and 30...
